Yes, both reach the same person — but that's just how it's done in Germany. Everything neatly sorted. Can't help it.

Hosting

This website is hosted by:

Hetzner Online GmbH
Industriestr. 25
91710 Gunzenhausen
Germany

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

When you visit the website, the server automatically processes server log files. These may contain: IP address (anonymised where technically possible), date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system.

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the stable and secure provision of the website). Log data is deleted regularly.

Analytics

This website uses Swetrix, a privacy-friendly, cookieless web-analytics tool that I host myself on my own server (katie.noschmarrn.dev). The data stays on my own infrastructure and is not shared with any third party.

Swetrix works without cookies and does not track you across sites or devices. It collects aggregate, anonymised usage data only — for example the page visited, the referrer, an approximate region derived from your IP address, browser type and operating system — to understand how the site is used. No cross-site profile is built. Even with JavaScript disabled, a 1×1 pixel counts the same anonymous page view.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring, in aggregate, how the website is used). You can opt out at any time by blocking the endpoint katie.noschmarrn.dev in your browser or with a content blocker.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). An informal email is enough for any request.
